this morning decided install the c-west hood scoop. I went the c-west route for two reasons - aggressive scoop design and fit/finish reputation. The scoop sits up high (cabin view is way cool) and finish was very nice. FITMENT is another story and we were very disappointed. I wouldnt mind some spacing but the left / right sides are off. Tightening it down did nothing. After this post, I will be emailing c-west with a bunch of picks and sending it back. Hopefully, they can send me another one out ASAP.

Yikes, that fitment is pretty terrible. Curious why you didn't order the hood scoop from rexpeed since you just posted a similar VG thread...

You gonna ask for another from C-west? Or get your money back?

I hate to see that. Amazing how no one gives a shit about quality anymore.

The rexpeed one looks like hell in person too. I would just try to get C-west to get you another one.

Good luck dealing with C-West. When I got their hood and saw all of the cosmetic problems it had I wanted to send it back. It ended up being a one-month battle between C-West and myself, with DSG mediating. Threats to involve lawyers and the BBB worked wonderfully toward the end.

I went the c-west route because i was under the impression that fitment would be very good. Very disappointing to say the least. I bought the VG from rexspeed, reviews were good, liked that it came painted and figured that fitment would have a little more play.

Here is an update - contacted c-west LA, sent pics. They don't have 1 in stock. They are having one set to me directly from Japan. I'm to send the return to LA.

Most Cwest stuff fits like shit...even I was told that my front bumper was 100% perfect fitment before I purchased it, it wasn't. It fit well, but far from perfect. now its good.
I highly recommended the ChargeSpeed hood scoop. Fits perfect, is higher quality and is more functional.

Thats weird, my friend had c-west full body kit on his 350z, fit's like OEM, but he ordered it direcly from Japan, but anyways i was talking about the scoop fitment, i found them at a local dealer, but i want to make sure they fit perfectly, other wise i might ask if they can do a fitment test before i buy them.

Post a pic from inside the car! I love driving and seeing a big hood scoop infront of me because..racecar
+1 . Subscribed to see the end result.

After my own 8-month ordeal with BulletProof Auto and my crappy do-luck finish/fit; I gave up on parts/manufacturers from out of country.

Update - got this email last night from Andrew (C-west LA)

"We are sending it out overnight. We also hope that this hasn't been a big inconvenience to you! If there is anything else C-West Japan has authorized me to give you an extra 10% off any other purchase."

Next - Update will be install pics.

Interesting. I wonder why they were such *******s to me (requiring me to send photos more than once, amongst other things) and just exchanged yours.

Glad it's all sorted out, dude, lucky for you!

maybe a case of middle-man "telephone"?

If I recall, all your contact with C-West went through your vendor didn't it? could be the same issue for Evo&Son

Looking forward to see how your second one turns out. loving my rexpeed :innocent:

I had a cwest body kit for my rsx and fitment was near perfect. I'm really sad to see such a company lapse on their quality control throughout the years. I'm glad they rectified the problem can't wait to see pics of the new unit they are sending.
