The whole purpose of cams is to let more air flow in the combustion chamber. When variable valve timing was invented it took cars to a whole new level so you can do more with less now. So on a stock turbo you have way more than enough cam to handle the flow. Now the reason there are different size cams is because with lobe and duration differences you can go too big and start to kill performance.

all that makes sense...so youd only suggest a cam upgrade after a turbo change? would you consider it a necessity after upgrading the turbo?

Depends on the turbo really, just like injectors. You want what fits best with the system, everything should be in the same limits area. You wouldn't run 2000cc injectors and a 500lph fuel pump on a stock turbo & block set up.

Right now I'm saving for a Turbo upgrade... I intend on going with an fp red. And forged internals. But for now the Cams and spring gs are not getting installed until I can get the other parts... I guess I am just going with the idea to take it apart once and not do it twice..

As I said I plan on a Turbo upgrade.. but I'm researching that too.. as I stated above an fp red should suit me just fine. Maybe an fp black however.. I don't know enough about there boost charactoristics Busters yet.. I gotta keep reading nd searching :)
