Hey guys, I just recently tuned my car with Stage 2 93LWG. I'm running just a testpipe and 94 Octane. I put the LWG map on because I noticed my car was spiking over 25 on a custom stage 1 map from a tuner in Red Deer, AB. The weather here is also pretty cold (-1* Celsius), so that was another reason for starting with the LWG. I do see that I'm not hitting target boost on LWG so I will tune to the regular Stage 2 93. I noticed that it went to 4 counts on my datalog 3. Please review and let me know if you think I'm good to go.

Thanks for your help.

FPR line = Zip Tied.
Flux Capacitor = new one coming for xmas! haha
Fuel Relay = Blue changed about 6000kms ago.
Intake = new filter. Installed properly. Everything should be good.

Why do you ask?

Your flux capacitor isnt putting out 1.21 jiggawatts, youre boned and will need to fashion a new one out of household items.

Fpr line - causes knock
Fuel relay- check it again, shake it like a salt shaker-- causes knock
Intake bungs open-- pulls more air than it should, causes knock.
Flux capacitor-- BECAUSE RACE CAR

What itake and do you have the MaF calibrated for that itake

I don't have any intake just a new mitsu filter. I'm just running a testpipe and running the stage 2 map cause stage 1 is garbage. I'll double check all my hoses again. I'll salt shaker my relay aswell. I'm not going to be bagging on my car. Just highway cruising back home for the holiday.

In all seriousness, do they look ok? (other then the 4 count on my #3 log)

2 counts at 3500-3750 consistent in all 3

1 count at 3800-4500 semi consistent in all 3

1 count at 5562-5812 not consistent only in this log.

4 counts at 6625-6900 not consistent only 1-2 counts in the other 2 logs

3 counts at 7000 not consistent only 1-2 counts in the other 2 logs.

FYI, it's not uncommon to get some knock count or some 'more' knock count at higher rpm, usually related to valve train noise being misinterpreted as phantom knock. If you're finding yourself with little or no knock below 6-6500, then a count or two only at very high rpm, I'd chalk it up to valve harmonics more than genuine knock since you've passed through peak VE without any incident of knock already.

I get knock from 6500-7000 about 90% of the time in logs. It's not real knock, adding fuel and reducing timing does nothing to reduce this "knock". This is common with all X's that I've seen. I've heard Golden has some sort of secret Mivec fix for this phantom knock but I don't know what it is, and I think it's secret.

The only one that seems like it may be real knock is "2 counts at 3500-3750 consistent in all 3" although I didn't actually look at your logs. This 2 counts *could* be real, but it's not a lot and so it's not a big deal, although, realistically, if you have a custom tune you shouldn't get "consistent" knock anywhere, not even 2 counts, and 0 is always better than 2.

Hey sorry I just finally read the last posts. The only thing custom about the stage 1 tune was that it was for a testpipe. These logs aren't for that map anyways. Just the generic stage 2 lwg map 93. I appreciate the feedback everyone. Thanks again.
