Add to these Canadian MSRP/Wholesale prices any dealer mark-up (was listed as $3,000 at Vancouver Mitsu)! Really, if these are sitting in the showrooms as they appear to be doing, you have some room to play. You do have your work cut out for you as the dealers seem to look at these cars like meal tickets. Tell them you are considering an STI instead, and let them know the difference in equipment, and the amount the dealers are willing to take off the price (anywhere from $1,000 to $2,000 or more!). Also let them know that their GSR has less equipment but costs $10,000 more than in the US, and that if you wait you will probably be able to import a used Evo X next year when Canada harmonizes the bumper safety requirements with the US (they are already doing so for the immobilizers).

Just rediculous! :)

Ridiculous Violator!
the more i read the happier i am that i bailed, although i see that some of the american owners are getting letters promising an extended (10 year, 100k) warrantee.

sad, that would have been the item that would have sold the mr to me. oh welll maybe next year mitsubitchi will have their poop in a group, interest will be at zero% and they'll sell to us for u.s. msrp:bowlol:
Good find.
It will be real interesting to see what happens with Evo sales in Canada this yr.
Hrm...so there IS quite a bit of wriggle room in the prices. Interesting. 50K out the door, (minus whatever taxes) "MIGHT" actually be possible on an MR Premium. Anyone in GVRD area wanna start a GB? Ehehehe.
10 yrs./160,000 kms. what i got for my dealer....and they only gave me a $2,000 mark up. which is BS but i heard some places in canada has mark ups upto $5,000.
My dealer in Abbotsford never mentioned any extra dealer mark up.
When we talked he was using MSRP. Of course we never got to the point of putting anything on paper so maybe they would try and slip something in I don't know.
I was already complaining to him that the price was way too high based on US prices so maybe he didn't want to mention it.
Wow, good find dood!!! I'm still waiting for 09 pricing :)
Another reason to hate Canada!

Good lord, if I were any of those people I would have to kill myself.

Hey Voodooman79, the rest of Canada hates Toronto too!
Oh feel the love :) Although I'd have to agree with you guys.... I'm from Vancouver and I remember how beautiful it was there :) Even the food's better ...
With the GSR invoice out, do you think potentital X buyers will have some leverage with Canadian dealerships? Or will they just spurt the same "first time in Canada, limited amount" etc etc nonsense to avoid giving a good deal?

On the bright side, I went by one of the local dealers and they actual had a GSR WITH the aero kit. I didn't even bother ask what they were asking for that one.
1) No.
2) Yes.

Unless they have trouble selling what they thought they were going to.
Time will tell.
In Edmonton the MR premium was was being quoted as going for 58K, and they were almost all "pre-sold", that price was not going to fly with me.
in Alberta, i'm thinking the stealerships are counting on the nuevo rich riggers not caring about the price and going for the "prestige" (51-54 quoted to me in cowgaryfor a base mr @ the end of January, if you could get one, i was 22 on the list @ the time.)

:wtfsign::wtfsign::wtfsign::wtfsign::wtfsign::wtfsign::wtfsign:
wowwwwiiiiiiiieeeeeeeee 58K for the MR. first i wanted the MR premium and my dealership told me its bout 5K more than the gsr...i guess you guys in west coast are getting really rediculous prices. but then again the cost of living over there is higher than where am at.
Phone the guy in Abbotsford. BC. They were talking MSRP to me.
Worth a call.
