Carbon fiber radiator cover help

1981 Views 9 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  kidneythief13
I just recently installed a 3 inch UICP by agency and due to the size of the pipe i can barely close my hood and the radiator cover/shroud will no longer fit. Will an after market carbon radiator cover fit the 3inch piping?

Check if the piping are seated correctly....sound like u installed it wrong.
A lot of people use a dremel to shave off part of the shroud. I don't think any companies make shrouds for 3" piping, only stock.
3" pipe ??? that's almost a hole inch larger than stock you would have been fine with a 2.5"most shrouds will work with the 2.5" pipes that most companies make. then you wouldn't have had problems. 3" is kind of over kill.

To be fair, the Agency Power carbon fiber (available in black, blue, or red) UICP's are absolutely gorgeous pieces. Plus the additional size does allow greater cold airflow.

I don't know of any shrouds that it will fit under though unless it is trimmed in some manner.

Your right but they have cars with 600+hp still running the 2.5" pipes with no problems. So for his power levels right now 3" is overkill.

There was thread about it David buschur did testing on 3 " vs 2.5" diameter piping and there was no gain
I think you can find it on forums, but thats not what he was asking

I believe that you wont find any covers..... I would change piping and rock cf cover lol
Thanks guys, ill just try and trim the stock cover then with a dremel. Maybe down the road ill sell my 3inch and grab a 2.5 inch piping with CF cover :D
might as well just keep what you got, even though it doesnt provide anymore gains then a 2.5. The fact that u want to pay more money for a smaller pipe just to fit a cf rad cover is just straight up rice.
The Monster radiator shroud is likely your only option w/o cutting (it has a finished cut-out). Raytix on here had it at one point. Don't think I've seen anyone else with it.
