Anyone else have this problem? Intermittently when I let the clutch out and start to accelerate in 1st or 2nd gear the check brake warning flashes on the screen. Trying to think about what could be causing this.

To anticipate a few questions: It happens the same regardless of how hard I am accelerating.

No Im not dragging my foot on the brake

The check brake sign as if you have the ebrake on? If its that take the center console apart and tighten your ebrake. Mine was floppy as hell and under hard acceleration it'd come up off the switch, making the car think the ebrake was engaged.

I had this happen at a recent autocross. It is definitely your brake fluid, you are tripping the low break fluid sensor. When it is on the "Low" line it will even trip on hard corners.

Most likely the car is low on brake fluid (which usually means the pads have worn a bit). Check the fluid level and add as needed.

I rotate my tires pretty regularly, and I always check the pad thickness while I am in there. I can tell you from experience that once you are getting the "Check Brake" under straight line acceleration, your pads are near the end of their service life.

Before you top off your fluid, inspect your pads. It's likely the fronts are worn more than the rears too.

I was leaking brake fluid from my clutch lines, never touched the soft ones and the retainer clip came out.

Happened to me twice a while back.

First time was the brake pads were down to 2mm, I was able to feel how terrible my baby stopped was gonna replace them the next day as my RB et500 pads were on the way anyhow.

The second time was the brake fluid... Had very little left.

I had this happen several times after a clutch install. Turned out they didn't properly bleed the lines and I had a bubble in the brake line. If all the above options don't yield a fix, might not be a bad idea to bleed your lines.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I think the low brake fluid sounds like pretty sound logic. I went and checked it and it definitely had dropped a few ounces below the max fill line. Ill be sure to refill it tomorrow and see if the warning shuts up

Just fyi, if you fill up the fluid - whenever you eventually replace your worn out pads or rotors that shit is gonna overflow lol
