Hey guys

I have confirmed the date for our second Canadian Mitsubishi owners day here in Calgary. We will be holding the event on July 14th, so any one coming from out of town can enjoy the Calgary stampede that saturday after the BBQ/show. To all of those who came out last year thank you for coming and hope to see you again. For those of you who didn't, we would love to have you out. Admission is free, and there will be food/cars/draws/prizes/fun ect. The event will be held at Platinum Mitsubishi in Calgary. Everything should be set up by 11. Thanks guys and I will update more info as I press on.

For more info email me at [email protected] or give me a call on my cell at 403 472 4121 thanks!

Would like to meet some of the edmonton people. I tried to get this up as early as I could this year so you guys could plan early. Also so you can check out stampede if so inclined. If anyone knows anyone that would like to donate time, shwag or both email me at [email protected]
IMO Mitsubishi should be supplying said "shwag". I think us purchasing 40K+ vehicles, paying $$$ out the butt for our SST maintenance ($230/4L Diaqueen - oil ONLY!!!) and having our warranty void because RACECAR relieves us of shwag duties, mitsu makes alot of money off of us. I enjoyed last years event, i'm happy with a bbq, and a few trophies, hell I would have been happy without the trophies.

You gotta remember Tristan that the majority of our cars bring the sex to your show. Any potential customers can see what the cars can become and like it or not, our presence will help you guys sell cars. It's worth mitsu eating the cost of a few burgers and dogs. Lay the law down with your manager!!! Tell him to not be so cheap! Especially since some of us are driving 2+ hours to make the event.

I dont think you understood the request for people to bring shwag. If someone owns a buisness , relevant to the auto or tuning industry or any buisness for that matter they can bring items to promote it. The idea behind the event is to promote a love for cars and has nothing to do with selling cars. My manager is not cheap, and neither am I. It takes a lot of time, planning, effort and money to put things like this together and I plan to do just.

Leutor it will be a good time !!

If you guys know anyone with older mitsu stuff be sure to let them know they are more than welcome to come. Last year we had a MINT stealth that was nice to see. I would have liked to see a few more DSM's out too. Hopefully this year.

No tristan I understand shwag quite well. I work for a very large oil company and have access to lots of shwag including a very large trailer bbq which the Meca crew got to partake of at a meet in red deer. I did not see where u mentioned it to be automotive related shwag. When I think of shwag I think of anything to give out... Golf balls... Hockey tickets...gift certificates etc.... Sorry if I misunderstood your meaning but you weren't very descriptive.

On a side note a bunch of us with sst trannies are pretty heated about the 230 dollar price for a 4 litre jug of sstf 1 fluid when we can have it shipped up to our house for half the.price from a vendor on this site. What gives?? I'd much rather give u guys my money than an American company.

Not to sure who is in charge of setting prices to be competitive with American companies in regards to sstf in Calgary. I believe alot of parts are cheaper for alot of manufacturers in the U.S when compared to Canada.
But... I also heard that someone possibly got their sstf fluid at platinum in the last year or so for under 150 per tin when brandon was there... Have things changed since he left?

just figured i'd post said quote ...

"Hey man

$327.00 plus shipping!!

+ $45.00 in shipping"

That price was for 2 tins of SSTF-1 Fluid and the Oem Filter, shipped to Canada from the USA.

What we really need is support from our dealerships. Getting gouged does not make me all warm and tingly.
If we the consumer can get it cheaper then definitely the dealership should be able to get it cheaper.

Also in response to this comment "My manager is not cheap, and neither am I. It takes a lot of time, planning, effort and money to put things like this together and I plan to do just."

I just wanted you to note that i've helped organize a major safety tradeshow for my company which included 30ish Vendors bringing multiple millions of dollars worth of oilfield equipment (service rigs, snubbing rigs, fire fighting equipment, stars air ambulance - the actual helicopter, guest speakers etc. I know exactly how much work it takes and putting on MOD is small peanuts my friend.

I also have close friends who also sell vehicles and know they have alot of ass time and easy access to a phone and email. Please Tristan do not make it sound like organizing this is more than it actually is. The hardest part for you will be making sure you have a good turnout of cars... that's where we come in.
