So yesterday I got home and received a letter from Mitsubishi stating that Model: 2008-2014 Lancer Evolution, 2009-2014 Lancer Ralliart, and 2009-2011 Lancer Sportback Ralliart. are being recalled for a "improper Torque threshold" which causes the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) to falsely illuminate.
So my questions are: Why send out a bulletin on this if the worst that can happen is a CEL that the dealer would flash and fix anyway? couldn't they just do the re-flash at my next oil change? Is there more to the story? Did any of you get the same paperwork?
