So i've seen this intercooler, and have thought about getting it but have never heard of the brand before, nor do I know why it is so much cheaper than one from, say, ETS, or AMS, etc...

Anyone have any reviews their willing to share?

Or perhaps also explain why this intercooler is different from the rest making it less expensive?

i bought this intercooler and its waiting to be installed.
i've read that someone has reached over 400whp with one. so i bet it will suit my needs.
but i've recently been looking for a tuner and i gave them my mod list and it included the depo fmic.

heres what he said back

Depo is an asian company making cheap knock off parts and we don't recommend their FMIC. The cheap ones flow great, but only because they offer very little cooling which is the whole point of the intercooler. AMS makes a proper direct fit intercooler and that's the one we recommend:

i dont think i will reply after that. i hoping for a clipse tune in the spring.

ninja edit: wisniaPl was the one. he hit 472awhp with depo IC on his fp black. think hes running a 4" core now and upgraded....but. still

did 472 whp on my built engine and fp black on 93 octane....had it 1.5 years with 0 issues.
Only changed it to bigger core because after my accident body shop already charged insurance for stock one(800$), so i got ets 4" instead stock lol
btw his ic piping is awesome deff better fit and quality than any other company....

I had the depot fmic and it did what it was suppose to do. Fitment was good. The welds could have been better but its watever. If your on a budget, get the depot.

[email protected] Racing is State side, he just outsource's from Asia. The parts will work but not the same quality as AMS. Everyone has a different idea of what "value" is so its your call.

Some food for thought;

Depo ic is just fine, made 350/385 with stock turbo at COBB Plano with one, running on the dyno for several hours and kept temps down like it is supposed to. Now, when I go EF2 or 3 I will go with a 4 inch ic.

Again, just cheaper parts from china with custom logo on it. It "works" but the biggest problem with gauges is the accuracy.
its the same gauge prosport is using....wtf they just changed the logo even wires and boost module or whatever is called is the same...

Only thing I have is boost gauge from them... But I only heard good things about depot parts
I'm using his fmic , boost and wideband only
Problem so far is his wideband...some led lights
Died but the numbers are still visible..
Happened twice...in less than 6 mos...
Not sure about the warranty tho coz he
Replaced my first one with a used wideband
He had on his car...sigh

Anyone else have anymore thoughts to share on the depo FMIC? I saw he released a 4" verison of it just a week or so ago that seems interesting...

I have ETS, been outstanding. It can be had for not that much more than Depo. Plus, I dig the logo on the front of my ETS, I don't care if its cheesy. I don't have experience with it, but AGP might be another good option.
