There's been some information going around stating that the factory ECU will not let you disable the factory 5-5.5K "clutch in" rev limiter and that it takes a reading from the VSS as a backup.
We haven't done extensive testing on this, but we've done repeated launches and pulls and some driving (short trips) with the two-step disabled and no ill effects.
You need to unplug the *UPPER* clutch switch to disable it (PITA to reach up in there).
Granted, I don't drive the car much at the moment as we're constantly doing fabrication work on it, but it's worked fine for us thus far. Just don't expect your stock clutch to last long. ;-)
