This is a poor excuse for the new Dart!!! Holy hell! Am I the only one that thought it was going to be a new version to the original?

Hate to say it, but I would rather see chysler fail rather than pay to bail them out again after seeing this. It might grow on us or others, but I don't know.

if you try thinking of it as a dodge, it's horrible. If you think of it as an Alfa rebranded as a dodge, then it makes more sense. Buy Alfa's going to be selling cars in the US again. Why not just badge it as an Alfa? That way, at least it has the 'italian styling' thing going for it.

Three transmission choices, just like the Lancer. Four if you count the GSR 5 spd.

I agree it basically shows no roots to the OG Dart at all.

In all seriousness, I get the DSM connection, but I just can't respect a car company that really has almost no original car designs save for the Viper and their trucks. And when they do have a cult hit like the SRT-4 Neon, Magnum wagon, or PT Cruiser, they just kill them off.

I'm just waiting for them to kill off the Charger, Challenger and then turn the 300C into a FWD. It's like they make their cars boring on purpose.

When it was announced it was described as a replacement for the neon, not a new version of the old dart. Not sure why they chose the name. I like it though.
