About a month ago I replaced my MMCS Rockford unit with a pioneer head unit and might be the what is causing this.
Last night I set the dome light to the middle setting and I realized this morning the light was still on. So I tried the map switch setting to door and it stays on also.
When I open the door the sensors on the dash indicate which door is opened, so it couldn't be an issue with the door sensor.
Is there an issue with the ETACS module? I hope it's not that and it's just due to the removal of the factory head unit.
