Since the evo x doesnt have a cat in the downpipe(i just learned this) would i benefit more from getting a catback exhaust first or an aftermarket down pipe. I realize an aftermarket down pipe will be higher flow but since theres no restriction from a cat in the oem down pipe which upgrade would i benefit from more?

cbe, dp does nothing really for stock

get a cbe straight or high flow cat or test pipe

or just get a cbe in general would benefit more than a dp alone and stock cat etc

go with cbe first, worry bout the dp later
i bought an agency power turbo back exhaust and i got from the o2 housing to the end (dp, test pipe, cbe) you can go to an AMS, ETS, or MAP dp later on to remove the stock o2 housing

I'd even venture to say just swap out the cat for a TP or HFC. I bet the rest of the stock exhaust flows as good or better than half of the crap out there.

Start with a CBE you like. The DP is a bitch to install so I'd wait for either a turbo upgrade or clutch upgrade and do it then. For the money you'll pay install wise the DP isn't really a good "bang for buck".

Best bang for the buck is a tune! If power is your only goal, test pipe and delete the internal flap inside the stock exhaust!

I say Hfc or test pipe. Cat back is good for sound and weight savings only. Down pipe isn't necessary on stock turbo
