It depends on many factors. First off, what is your goal by adding the intake? Is it more horsepower, sound, looks, etc?

Assuming it's horsepower, you have to look at the filter but also the rest of the intake/inlet. What about the surrounding airbox? It's constrictive, usually a smaller diameter piping, and the inside not as smooth as an aftermarket intake so less velocity.

On the flip side, the airbox keeps the air cooler, and is sturdy and oem. You can never go wrong with oem. However, it is more restrictive on airflow usually.

It really comes down to is it worth it for YOU to spend $200 for the advantages it has.
