I was gonna have AMS build and Tune my evo until they told me that they do NOT open source tune. They only use the Cobb AP which was a deal breaker for me. They mainly care about high end cars now a days anyway.
To my understanding, the Cobb just didn't have "ALL" the features available like the open source did. It was a lot easier to tune a simple bolt on car with just the AP alone. When it came to huge all out builds, the open source was a much better and more preferred platform for most tuners.I have a cobb access port that just sits in my glove box rn because my evo is currently open sourced. What makes the Cobb AP a deal breaker in comparison to open source ?
