when you start using E85 is there anything you NEED to upgrade/have for it to run most efficiently (power wise)

The good thing is that you're running rich if you're tuned on true e85 and use the winter blend so it should be safe according to that site and what I've heard from tuners. I'm not a tuner myself so don't quote me on this.
most of the time here in the state we are in 3% which = to E70?
I was tuned on the hottest day GA has experienced in a decade... it was 115 with the heat index that day! STILL made 385/350 on dynamics! The shop mechanics kept coming into the waiting area just to get water and stand in front of the a/c while dripping sweat.
LOL I would guess Im running rich year round haha!

Nice! I was tuned in September in Texas so hopefully it was 85%. I want to get some kind of tester to see what I'm filling up with here.
Yeah that's pricey. I fill 5gal containers since its far from me so I would like something I can test the fuel before I fill my car.
if you end up buying and using them, please make a review on here!
Sure will!
can i borrow it lol

Yeah the 3 is at least 70% ethanol so e70 pretty much.

can i borrow it lol
If youre talking about the tester, sure! I just have to order one first, lol
hehe what are u waitin for?? lol jk
Anything special needed to run E85 in very cold weather? Sometimes as low as 0 Degrees F.
^^^the reason it gets to class 2 or 3 is because they add more pump gas to prevent freezing of the ethanol. As long as you keep your car in a garage, drive it daily or every couple days, and allow it plenty of time to warm up you should be ok.
However, the larger your injectors the more fuel is required on start up so even here in GA it takes one or two starts when its below freezing to get her to crank over and run.
^^^ I use a block warmer and it starts first crank when before it would take a couple of cranks.
With alcohol all these bad things will happen:

1) Your fuel system will melt and all plastic will turn into a slurry that runs out on the road causing accidents

2) The engine will explode because it can't "knock" and will just hit a threshold and window your block and atomize your valves

3) At the gas station when filling with E85 you will light on fire and it will burn clear so you can't see the flames, you'll be on fire but won't know it you'll be really hot though

4) When you store it for over a day, it separates and turns into toxic chemicals that cause retardation in most people

5) You're just subsidizing rich farmers that are all laughing at us from their farms. Next time you drive past a farm, look at the cows. They are smirking. They think we are all suckers.
