Laptop for ECUFlash/Evoscan, what small laptop/netbook do you guys recommend, was looking at a Acer/Asus PC EE type (10inch screen) to keep in car for logging and just flashing maps from tuner, are these small netbooks good enough to run ecuflash and for logging in evoscan or are they sluggish??

* Please NOTE I will not be doing tunning just flashing car and logging with it *

I've got an Acer Aspire One D255E as my logging/tuning PC - I upgraded the RAM to 2gb.

It's also cheap to get a solid state hard drive for one but I haven't done that yet

What I like:
- Fits in the glovebox
- Was cheap (brought at a physical shop in Australia for $300)
- Comes with a soft pouch to keep it safe
- Light
- Good battery life
- Windows 7/Microsoft office pre-installed
- Car charger available (not Acer genuine but mine works fine)
- 3 USB ports for logging.

What I don't like:
- Only comes with 1gb RAM (The extra RAM is $30-40 or something and a simple install)

I use an Asus eee pc (stupid name) for EvoScan logging and EcuFlash.

It's okay. Low power cpu - not fast, but it does the job.

I use a 7" Aspire One. It works, but its a bit small. Got it for $100 so i cant complain. I'd suggest replacing the harddriver with a small-ish SSD drive though. I used to have a 10" Lenovo whateverbook and it was a lot better. Wish i still had it, but my dog ate it (no joke...)

What about the tablets (like the Samsung's Galaxy) do those have enough speed and capacity? They come pre-installed with Windows7, and I was thinking of making a mount so that I could run EvoScan for gauges/logging. I got my 2 year coming up w/ Verizon, so they are like $100 right now.

It would be annoying not having a real keyboard
