Ive seen plenty of threads and pics with the conversion done... But, is there anyone out there manufacturing these for us?

if you want a big, wild looking wing that isnt GT-style check out the Voltex type-9.

Nope.. Definitely not a fan of that one! Either i find someone who produces the 8/9 wing for the X, or im gonna go wingless

Why'd you chose to not install it?I have an Evo 8 wing, CF, about 10 miles on it total, and it's been in a dark room ever since. For sale.

Decided to go a different route and stick with stock for now, may go wingless. I've been flip flopping for so long I figured if I haven't done it yet then I probably won't...putting the $ towards my spring build plans.

Too funny! Its something to consider dont get me wrong... I was really hoping there would be a company to follow similar characteristics but fit in the existing holes.. I know what you mean about changing your mind. For me, its either something like this, or wingless. 1 extreme to the next

Yeah, I was hoping for that too (same style but X holes). I have not one but TWO extra trunk lids (one completely wingless with NO holes, so you can drill for the VIII wing and not worry about filling the other holes and having it painted...um..still needs to be painted though lol) and a RR X wing with stock tall spoiler holes that I was thinking of filling and drilling.
What color's your car? If it's blue I have a hole-less blue trunk lid in perfect condition, just drill and mount.
