Hi guys. I'm about to buy a 2011 evo x fq300 sst and I was wondering if an erratic tick over is normal. It idles at about 750 but goes up to about 900 then back down again and seems like fan kicking in then out when at stand still.
On test drive dealer assured me this is normal.
Any thoughts would be helpful thanks.

It's normal. It's one reason, aside from the OEM rich tune, that people retune their cars even if staying stock.
