So I noticed that my X idles like at 1 bar below 1k rpm.. I think that's really low. And sometimes the gauge moves from that idle position to 1k rpm and above... well this is kinda scaring me cause yesterday while at a light my car was idleling lower than the usual and out of now where my car died. ='(

I was wondering if anyone elses X has had the same issue... or idles that low (while at a stop or warming up).

Yup mitsubishi is aware of this issue, and should have Flash for this sometime in April. They do have a fix for it. but since it will be altering the ignition ... Its has to go threw government inspection ect. So wait until a TSB is out in April.

I get the same issue you do, and it happening mostly when your car is warm up allready.

it idling at 750 rpm is no big deal. i believe my 8 idled below 1k also. there is also some spurting up top at WOT. as thuan has posted, there is a fix on the way.

so dont feel bad, my evo x also died at a light about a week ago.

Its not really the cut off, Sometime when you sit idle with the car is warm,
Or at a stop light, Youll see your RPM jump back and forth. some time jumping below 500 and this is when you car dies.
This is exactly what I was talking about! I have been trying to find other people with the same problems but just couldn't.. I'm glad I'm not alone =/.. Is the fix going to be applied to every evo x(recall) or only people that go check it out @ the dealership?¿

I think its only going to apply to the 1st few batch of Evos. The one that are here Now. more then likely the one Still sitting in Japan will have that fix befor it hits our shore. Mitsubishi Will send you a Card or something in the mail.
But more then likely i would have the dealership reflash the ECU before I see it in the mail.

My X idles generally between 850 and 950, never had it randomly cut out on me though.
:+1: Mine was part of the first batch outside Japan. I had noticed some rough idling at times but not anything serious.. *gulp*
