Hey guys i think this a pulley or belt squeaking after reading and searching some threads.

i made a quick video to see if anyone else who has had this problem can help ID it.

It only happens when the engine is warmed up and under some load.

Thanks guys

It's the original belt with 55k miles on it so it's probably done.

When we did the cams I remember looking at the pulleys and they were worn

I don't think i got any antifreeze on the belt. It looked dry and I haven't seen any overflow.

Looks like I have to buy a belt and 2 pulleys!

From the grave again. Same sound. I have replaced the belt. Have metal idlers to swap in but haven't done that yet. Tension is good.

Did you end up with a solution?

So I swapped all the pulley's for metal ones. Still making the sound. Only makes it at 1500rpm and up and generally only when the car is warm. Happens with the car stationary. All the pulleys for other components on the serpentine belt seem good and without play when testing by hand.

Sound is exactly like the video from OP. Anyone know what it is?

Testing with a mechanics stethoscope and with a hose, I heard the sound from the pulley on the water pump.

I finally got around to swapping it out for a new oem pump and the sound is gone.

If you get any antifreeze on the belt, it will make it squeak
Yep, had that on my other car - Kia with 4b11-like motor as well. I got coolant on the belt and until I replaced the belt, I couldn't get rid of the sound.
