What, no video? J/k, great to hear the track reviews. Also, looking forward to hearing what you're gonna do about the power deficit.

How many laps did you do? You worried about the over heating problem?
I think its around 4-5 laps .. each lap is around 3mins .. its enough to cause overheat in the older generation auto evos..

Sorry .. no vids coz wasn't prepared for it yet :tumbleweed: was just out for a sunday's drive

I'm from Singapore :shades:

Hey Gunzo,
Its me the other SST and Elise. Sorry to tell you guys that the car can only last 3 laps on hard drive. With only HKS intercooler piping, HKS Camps 2 to monitor and HKS VAG speed cut limiter, the oil temp went 135 after 3 hard laps.

Thats the engine .. not the gearbox .. everyone is more worried about the gearbox than engine .. Typical trackday on the 7 was around 130+ for me .. until I changed out the oil cooler ..

As it is .. there was no issues with anything for the car right now .. it was happy doing multiple laps .

wow! im surprised to see so many sg drivers here.
gunzo do you happen to be gumby from sgevoclub forums? i think he mentioned that he would be there on the 19th too.

i was there on sunday too but i went for the afternoon session. :)
think i was the only black X there, 5MT though.

saw like 4? white SSTs running around track that day. hehe

i'm running a stock car (190km/h max) with HKS camp 2 as my only mod... Using redline 10w40 oil and stock coolant and my oil temps never exceeded 112 degrees celsius that hot afternoon according to my camp2 unit... was inside for 18 continous laps inclusive of 3-4 warm down/up laps. I'm really stumped as to how mod13 and gunzo's temps go up so high after just a couple of laps.

mod13: hey! u're that orange lotus elise? i'm the black X that was infront and later behind you during the afternoon session. didnt know you drove the X too but u've got really fast straight line acceleration in the lotus :)

Wrong guy :)

I was referring to my older evo with regards to the oil temp ..
Current one I dunno .. not fitted yet :tumbleweed:

Well really depends on where you tap the sensor .. at the sump that's the temp you should be seeing .. at the oilfilter .. you should be seeing what mod13 and me is seeing ..

Japbeercow (<-- kobe beef??)

ARC oil cooler

Hey guys. I was there too in a white SST... I popped my track cherry yesterday. Was in the pit not too far away from mod13. mod13: Thanks for the advice on securing the transponder.

Was a great experience for me. The morning session was initially a little intimidating due to the wet track, but I survived without kissing the gravel. My oil temp was above 110 C, but maybe I wasn't driving it hard enough?
