So as the title states I am wondering if anyone has ever encountered a problem with ticking like this so I swapped valves and put manly springs with titanium retainers have a gsc s2 cam on it, my timing ended up skipping and actually turned on when it skipped but ever since that day it skipped I got a new chain and lined everything up and now I'm stuck with a loud ticking noise

Did you delete exhaust mivec? It’s likely to break with S2 and jump timing.

No I didn't delete Mivec at all how soon would it break though?

It depends- I’ve seen it break- jump timing- piston valve contact within couple hundred miles on properly built head pushing big power- I’ve seen guys been fine for a while and never knew it’s a problem in the first place- hard to tell but just an inexpensive insurance for your motor.
