I got a question as far what options do i have with these button spaces that aren't being used? The two pictures below are mine and i was wondering if i get my car tuned, can i have a selector switch next to the AWC??

Further more besides the projectors whats else fits in the empty spaces?? I do have a ARK Design Turbo Timer its just not installed yet...

I don't have a pic handy, but I ran my mute button for my radar detector next to my blank buttons by my knee to the left of my steering wheel. I pulled the trim piece off, removed the faux button, dremel'd out the hole a little to make room since the button is big, and slid the mute button in the back. It looks really good and could have looked better if I had just been a bit more patient. I took about 2 mm too much off the top so there is a very slight gap. If you're good and take your time it could look factory.

In the JDM Evo, there's an intercooler spray button in one of those spots below the shifter. You can find the empty fuse socket for it in the engine bay fuse box.

if i remember correctly, i saw it years ago on japanparts. or whatever that site is. Remember thinking it was ridiculously expensive and not worth it. Still sucks we don't get it. I wish we had that and the auto-folding side mirrors.

Some versions of the nav unit can be patched to allow DVD while driving (this doesn't allow driving viewing of AUX input video, however). I have done it on my 2008 unit.

I think the alternative way is to disconnect the GPS from the unit so it doesn't know that it is moving. You could put in a switch that turns the GPS signal on and off, allowing you to watch video on the move.

LOL I looked it up and just the IC Spray button itself is $56.

Is there a video input? Mine only has red and white inputs for audio, but then it will display that "cannot be displayed while driving" message. Also my nav doesn't stop the DVD play while driving.

Mine has red, white and yellow for video. I could play Super Nintendo on it, or something.

I bought two used ASC switches for blanks. Only cost $15 bucks on ebay. I took the switch apart and, other than being really long, it's nothing special. Make sure to get the wire connector with it.

The top of the button is a long plastic slide which is a translucent white material. It's then painted black and the writing is etched or laser engraved off. I sanded the button down and repainted with a non-laquer based (enamel) flat black it it looks bone stock, without any writing. I even illuminated it can you cannot see any light or marks left over from the old "ASC OFF" etching.

So I took the button to a cnc laser engraver I have access too and viola, was able to do a quick test to see if I could get my own script on it. It took time to get the settings right but now I have (SST PUMP) written on it and it looks like it came from the factory.

I did sand and repaint it again because I decided to wait on the SST pump, but the project shows you can have custom buttons that look bone stock.

Yeah I definitely have all 3 RCA jacks. I mounted my gauges down in that cubby so I built a wire harness that brings the jacks out to the front of the gauge pod.

It is only red and white on the '08 gsr. I took out the aux input box and soldered on an rca connector and some pins and then put it back together. The wiring harness already has the wires for video so it's simple plug and play. it's pretty easy to do

GSRs come with just the audio white/red inlets, but you can buy the audio/video jack from Mitsu for like $30 and its a somewhat easy install if you are familiar with opening up your center console (there are instructions for this on this site somewhere). I bought a used jack from some dude in UK for like $10 bucks and install took ~30 mins and now I can plug my iphone/ipod and stream movies etc...still need to find that fix for turning the motion block off...
