For ex: you have Buschurs double pumper that turns on above 6 psi, what's the easiest way to tell that the pump is working. If you have a fuel gauge in the cabin the pressure should shoot up correct? Or is the regulator going to keep it at the same pressure? Also I assume it is unwise to just drop in the double pumper without making any changes to the tune?

wideband with programmable alarm. You can also wire it up so it switches to a different map via TephraMod for a last ditch effort...

you could hook something up to the power lead that would let you know when the second pump is getting voltage and do like an LED or something somewhere that lights up when pump #2 comes online.
