I get the impression that the module is tied into the key locks on the two front doors and the trunk.Really? That's odd.
Oh you mean the transponders? I'm actually looking for the main module that those transponders are connected to. Like when you get an aftermarket car alarm, there is a main module that is connected to the locking system of the car. Or is the main module I'm looking for is the ECU itself?I get the impression that the module is tied into the key locks on the two front doors and the trunk.
Like I said... pretty sure it's in the trunk, by your battery.. take off those plastic covers and you will see it.Oh you mean the transponders? I need to know because I need to find out the trigger where the Fast Key system detects if the key is at the "ACC" or "ON" position, so I can disable it. So I can lock/unlock the car with the FOB even if the engine is running.
I looked at it, and it's not the module. It's the receiver antenna assembly. I googled it and the the module I'm looking for is the KOS-ECU (Keyless Operation System ECU), which is located under the dash on the right hand side of the steering wheel column.Like I said... pretty sure it's in the trunk, by your battery.. take off those plastic covers and you will see it.
If you are successful in doing this, please post how you accomplished it.I need to know because I need to find out the trigger where the Fast Key system detects if the key is at the "ACC" or "ON" position, so I can disable it. So I can lock/unlock the car with the FOB even if the engine is running.
Not yet, been busy with work and errands. Will work on this if the weekend clears. It seems like cutting a wire won't do the trick. It needs a circuit that would bypass it and trick the KOS ECU that the engine is off. That's where I stopped at.did you get anyware with the module yet?
Yeah, it's all in the service manual.im pretty sure you can find this answer in the evo x manual....
