Hey guys looking into getting a front strut bar really like the Password bar, but just looking into what other ones there are out there? I can only seem to find like the Cusco one and i dont really like it. Thanks guys!
Yea i saw that haha really more than i was looking to shell out for one. Ever had any prob with the password one? Looks like its made really well from the pics on the site
I have both front and rear Cusco bars that I got from a friend for cheap when he got rid of his car. I couldn't tell you if they did anything...you can't actually feel a difference at all. Maybe if you really push the car close to its limit it might be noticeable, I don't know...
The front bar is certainly lighter weight than the stock bar.
To be perfectly honest though, the strut bar was a huge vanity item, big waste of money. It came beautifully polished at like $380 shipped or something ridiculous, then another $75 + shipping to have it coated, then there was a headache with the coating and how I wasn't satisfied with the job they did, then I put them on blast on the forums because they only had one shot at this and they screwed it up (would have to be stripped and fully re-polished to get the originally intended look), yadda yadda yadda.
As for function... none of these bars will do a better job than the stocker, they'll just weigh less. The stock one is solid as can be, it's just like 4 times heavier than my Ralliart bar.
How can any of these bars perform better than the stock solid 3 point mount?!? I can understand if the car didn't have one stock, but the evo came with a beefed up one! The only thing you'll get is bling and possible weight savings. You're better off buying a RCK or rear sway~
Hahaha 5 point + bling is always better than 3 point with - bling?
