Also how much boost can I ran to the stock engine and still be able to drive it regularly? Thanks in advance.ohh and after I get it I will have like $1000 to spend on upgrades.

if it were me...and i will hopefaully getting a new se in a few weeks. i drive an 08 mr already...if i had it to do over with $1000 to start i would get a nice exhaust and the ssp fuel injector relay package with the afr gauge. so when you do start tuning you can make sure your fueling stays in order.

an intake isnt really necessary till over 400Whp right? the FQ400 si still using stock intake box. so for the most part a panel filter, TBE, and a tune will do better.
It has been proven in many instances you can gain a substantial amount of whp from an upgraded intake system. With a decent tune after adding an aftermarket intake system you can expect upwards of 30whp. A more aggressive tune will bring even more.

As most people have said, intake/exhaust/tune will bring quick rewards. Your car is set up conservatively for fuel consumption and pollution. Opening up your air intake/exhaust flow and tuning AFR will get you a good power increase to start.

You'll need alot more than a grand - We wish it was that easy lol! - but yeah, full bolt-ons will put you around 340-350 whp, youll need meth or e85 for your goals on the stock turbo. Just do one mod at a time, youll eventually get there.

Congrats on the new ride.. If your on a budget. You can find some great deals in the parts for sale section on here.. Get yourself a used cbe exhaust for around $250.. Get a depo Test pipe ($110), Grimmspeed 3 port ($100), Drop in air filter ($50),depo uicp ($185) and then borrow a tracix cable.. Get e tuned by clips3gt (not sure what he charges) This should get you close to your goals.. Save up some more and get some injectors/fuel pump on e85.. Of couse this is asumming your doing all labor yourself.. Do some reading on here.. There's a wealth of knowledge and most peolpe on here are willing to help...

You can get those gains from a panel filter. I've seen 400whp on cars with panel filters.
