Hey all, I'm new here name is Todd! As i stated above. I need help, i just bought a sight unseen 2010 RG Evo X GSR (yes, i know it wasn't very smart and i feel pretty dumb) the thing is clapped and needs a ton of love. For starters i'll state the mods that i know for sure. It has an AMS Down pipe into the ams full straight pipe, Aem cold air intake shrowd with k&n filter, Grimmspeed boost controller that is plugged in but routed to only one port on the controller (which caused an over boost and ton of issues until i realized that, now i just have it routed to intake manifold on vaccum running spring pressure to be safe), injector clinic 900cc injectors, ama intercooler with the piping as well, aem fuel pressure regulator (which seems to be set at 45-52 psi of fuel pressure). Those are the know mods to the motor, i have had people tell me it sounds like i have cams and i can confirm the cam caps have been off as the arrows are all mix matched facing random directions. No clue if the cams are oem or not and I really couldn't find any indication either way. The timing chain is updated and tight(which may be why the cam caps were off but i'm not sure). So far my experience with this thing has been an absolute nightmare, 15 miles after it was delivered the Ac compressor fell off the motor because the both bolts sheared off (too loose? I'm guessing as I found the belt tensioner loose as well) that was fun, then immediately after my Alternator seized so i've replaced all that as well as the starter. Unit has brand new laser iridium plugs, Motor compression tests at cyl 1 110psi, cyl 2 110psi, cyl 3 110 psi, and cyl 4 120 psi (which is also not ideal) for awhile i had issues with the p0016 code so i thought maybe the motor was not timed properly or had aftermarket cams but i replaced that sensors and that seems to have solved that. I have been running into an intermittent p0171 code which i've heard is fuel trim from the previous tuner but today after going on a drive where the car was running great then all of a sudden i couldn't give the car any serious throttle or at about 4kpm it would stutter and back fire. Will rev up pretty much just fine in any gear if you give it smooth throttle. The codes i've pulled at P0300 and P0304. Random misfire and cylinder 4 misfire. I have done a bit of reading in the forums but none that i saw really explained the same issue I've got under load. Any ideas? Another thing I found was a couple missing relays, one being the horn relay. I swapped relays with a blue relay and when i keyed the car on the horn did a couple little chirps? Horn works after that but i pulled the relay as j don't want the horn sounding off any time i key the car on? Thank you all for any time in advance.

First things first, get those cam caps all pointing in the right direction. They only go on one way

The compression seems a bit low, but if you have cams, those numbers are acceptable. The cam markings should be either laser engraved or cast into the cam somewhere, as well as cam numbers/specs engraved into the end where the cam sensor reads the cam.

Which way do the cam cap arrows face? To the front or rear of the car

They should point inward. the numbers start at the "front" of the engine (large main cap) and then go in sequence as you move away from the large bridge cap. So all the intake caps should be numbered 1-2-3-4-5 and point towards the back of the car. All the exhaust should be 1-2-3-4-5 and point towards the front of the car.

What sensor did you replace for the p0016 fault?
