Yea it shouldn't be getting that hot. Definitely look in to some kind of heat shield for under the car where that is. It has to be from the exhaust.
HELP: Styrofoam toolkit has been melting on my stock 2011 Evo X MR
As the title says, I decided to check under the carpet and found that the middle part of the styrofoam where the tools are located have simply MELTED, including my safety triangle which is mandatory here in Belgium. See pictures attached.
What do I do? Do I buy some kind of metal plate to stop this from happening? I really don't know where to start with this mess.
