It's going to cost you an arm and a leg from the stealership. Why not find an HID kit online somewhere?

You'd most likely have to find a shop that specializes in cars with DRL for HID or retrofits. When I had my retrofit projectors installed, the guys that did it used a special ballast, but kept the DRL on. It's been a couple of months so far and no flickering issues or burnt bulbs. I highly recommend doing your research for a reputable shop that specializes in automotive lighting and getting your HID's installed there, instead of a half ass shop.

Here was my post after I got the retrofit from the shop in my area. If you're interested just PM me and I can give you their info, maybe you can order the kit from them and install it yourself, or find a shop.

oh, screw the dealer, thats a complete rip off. So if I find a good shop to do it, that disables the DRL's, will it be the same without the HID projector housing?

The difference between projector vs non projector if you clicked my link is the clear cut off of the light beam. With the non projector, the HID light will be bouncing off the reflectors in the stock housing, and the light will scatter in all directions. Which might blind other drivers. It's still a work of different vs. non HID lighting. If if you get the projectors, you get that nice beam cut off with less chances to blinding on coming traffic cause the light is directed in a certain direction.

I've run HID's in my non-projector lenses without issue. I've seen some lamp housing that do on other cars, but the X is pretty decent and I've never been flashed for having absurdly aimed lights.

If you're gonna do it right and probably the cheapest way, find a set of used SSS headlights (~$1k-ish) and get jRox's DRL disable wire harness ($60-ish).

EDIT: ^^ cheapest "right" way anyway. HID kits are generally terrible, and a reflector setup is kinda pointless if you're gonna be upgrading anyway.
