I just put on the HKS Hi-Power catback with one of my friends and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy for the most part. My question is one about the tow-hook. If I remove the bracket, my cursory glance indicates that it's used as one of the mounting points for the diffuser. Am I correct?

If so, what's a good way to keep that mount point without having the tow hook hit the driver-side muffler?

You can take it off no problem, it's a PITA though. If I remember right there was a bolt in easy view that I thought would take it off, but it was welded on... Can't remember exactly how I got it off, it was about a year ago.

I absolutely love that exhaust. I had it on my MR and I just had to transfer it over to my GSR. I had my driver side tow hook removed on both vehicles for the installation.

Did I mention that I absolutely love that exhaust!? :)

Is there any way you could find out for me? I'd really appreciate it :D

BUMP

Bumping again cause the rattle gets annoying sometimes, but I tried putting a piece of cardboard in between and it was okay for a bit but then it got flattened :( . When it gets warm, I'm going to take another crack at this but I hope it's not welded on or something....

Edit:

Found it! http://www.socalevo.net/forum/index.php?topic=115086.0
