Just wondering how many peeps here drive their evos aggressively? I find myself doing 0 to 45mph asap when its clear roads, and rarely break speed limit and never dipping in and out of traffic.... in fact if the roads a busy I drive like I'm 150years old. I try to drive slow but it never seems to work out. I did get pulled over the other day and the cop said he didn't even see me but he HEARD me, no ticket and I wasn't even speeding, just got to the limit quick like. I am not advocating stupidity and if I did.... then I guess im "the stupid" just wondered if everyone else has issues accelerating slowly in this beast =-O

Yes I drive like a bit of a maniac, but I do it pretty safely. No tickets in over 10 years. Lately, I've found out how incredible awd and a metallic clutch can be from a stoplight lol. I drive a CR-V most days, but when I take out the Evo I have a lot of fun.

I drive like an old lady most of the time. From a stop I usually shift 1st-3rd-5th.

Only when I feel the need to pass traffic do I open it up.

I always drive it like I stole it... But behaves when there's traffic, and cool it in the city.

Speed limits in this country are a little of a Joke... If you exceed the speed limit by 5mph, it's 100 USD... if you exceed the speed limit by 100 MPH, it's 100 USD...:wtfsign:

What's the point in respecting the speed limit then? so, you end up respecting the traffic and road conditions. (They drive like retards here, exception made to those with EVOs)

Just to let you know, when the cops stopped me with their EVO to check on my FQ, they told me that they pushed theirs at 275 km/h on a new highway, then asked me what was the fastest I drove it. Told them 200 on the autobahn (Germany) on the way back from England.

We ended up taking pics together. :rock:

How can you take cops seriously when they are the ones speeding for fun?

I only had my X for a month but I would say I drive pretty safe, following the speed limit and what not. Haven't been too crazy with it yet...

I do the same, drive it like I stole it. Always alone though, if people are around I play it safe. But if I am alone...look out!

smooth is fast. dont have to drive like a dick to be faster. i often get some idiot in a beater try to drive faster by being an ass, going WOT when there's a gap, cutting people off, etc. I just keep my current pace and drive smooth and usually end up well in front of them without over going over 80% throttle, all while they're trying to cause an accident. gets kinda annoying i guess

i'll drive conservatively but i don't take anyones shit on the road. i keep the mind set as dominant. i'll get out of people's way when they're going faster than me, but if i'm a leader of the pack i'll cut off the ones trying to zoom up and block me in.

my favorite part is when someone honks at me or i see them swearing and flicking me off for something, and we end up at a stop light i'll stare them down, remain dominant. and you know what, they are too pussy to acknowledge, because i'm right and dominant. i'm prety sure im a psychopath, so i got that going for me.

Most ppl would probably say I drive like a dick, but to me it's just having fun lol, i tend to accelerate rather quick like, drive just over the speed limit and tend to weave through traffic a lot, but I try not to cut ppl off too much, and I usually use my turn signals!

I'm so much more calm in the Evo. Driving my Jetta I get road rage when people drive slow or I catch a red light. Evo on the other hand, every red light it a chance to listen to some acceleration. Nothing too crazy, just enough to hear some spool.

This. Its not always about being the fastest driver, but rather the smartest driver. Makes no sense going WOT into two cars blocking both lanes.

I drive like an old lady most of the time. I usually [leave it in auto Normal mode unless I want to feel some boost accelerating up to the speed limit].

Only when I feel the need to pass traffic do I open it up [and switch to Manual and maybe Sport mode].

i drive normal, every once in awhile ill stetch the cars legs, but 99% of the time i drive normal. As long as i drive normal, cops dont come after me about my tint or anything.

I like to open it up for an aggressive merge onto the freeway when there's no visible traffic around, but most of the time I'm trying to stay calm and enjoy the cruise.

Lately to keep myself chill I've been streaming HBOGO on my Droid in it's car dock. Watching CatHouse on my way home from work keeps me from speeding.
