Hey guys, I am a current 2002 WRX owner. I also owned a '98 Eclipse GS-T for three years. Needless to say I am a turbo freak. Currently I am halfway through law school and have begun to consider my next car. Clearly I won't be doing anything until I graduate, but I am a car-fanatic and I can't help but considering my options come the fall of 2009. Currently I have four cars on my "seriously considering:
1. Evo X MR - I don't think I need to say why, I love the look and numbers on this car, I think Mitsubishi really came through. I just hope by '09 they work out any kinks and touch up the interior some.

2. BMW 135 - A little twin turbo monster. All the refinement of a BMW with, seemingly, tons of potential. I think this could be a really fun ride.

3. Sti - I am not a fan of the look, but I love my Subie so I feel obligated to, at least, give it a test drive.

4. Dodge Challenger SRT-8- Yeah, I know, this car does not seem to belong on this list. But i have always loved Challengers and Cudas. I think the new look is amazing and with over 400hp I get giddy just thinking about it.

Needless to say, I will be following all of these cars closely. Right now I am definitely leaning towards the Evo, but who knows? Lots of things can change in a year. I look forward to hearing about all of your cars and seeing what some bolt ons can make them do.

It really depends on your needs and want from a car.

1) evo x - I think it best suits my need since it has AWD for the crappy Vancouver weather. I absolutely dig the look especially the Phantom Black MR :D. It has 4 doors and nice back sits! And I think it has 5 star safety rating and tons of air bags. Oh and it is fast as ballz!

2) 1-series - I don't like the looks too much, but if it ever came with AWD and was priced similarly with the Evo, then the 1-series would be an obvious choice, but it isn't. This car is guarantee to be a beast though that is for sure, however, I feel like RWD is less accommodating then AWD in terms of making driving errors. Oh, and I need a sedan.

3) 08 STI - can't stand the looks, however, great bang for bucks. Personally, I cannot justify spending so much on a car that I think is ugly. I still think it is a great car, though.

4) Dodge Challenger SRT-8 - No comment!

Hope it helps.

HAHAHA! Thanks for the comments guys, I look forward to being part of the community. I have plenty of time to make my final decision!!
You don not need to own a Lancer/Evo or any Mitsubishi car to be part of the community. I am a member of my local BMW community too, athough I don't own one. :p

BTW, the 335i/xi is a good consideration too.

Thanks, I will be here regardless. I'm not too interested in the 3 series. I want to keep the cost under $38K and I like the size to power of the 135. I like a car that stands out a little, the 3 series are everywhere.
