Well, if you have twisty mountain roads then im sure you will love the car.

What do you mean by fast? Fast compared to what? On what kind of road? This car handles very well out of the box, and is thus faster than alot of other cars on twisty roads - high speed or not.

In stock form with stock exhaust etc., the car is actually a lot faster than it feels because its pretty quiet. You realize this when you put an exhaust on it and the car feels a lot faster when it reality it hasnt made much difference without a tune. But put a tune on it and regardless of stock sound or not, it sure feels very fast.

I don't know anyone who is satisfied with their stock X, and doesn't want to mod. That goes for just about any car though. When I had my z it felt kinda fast, but with lots and lots of mods it could be very fast. Same thing with this car, exept the path to happiness is much shorter (intake, exhaust, 3 port, tune= happy for a lot of people)

As much as i love my X... I couldnt wait to get it tuned. Outta the box it felt slow but the thought of it's potential is what kept the smile there :) Now its 6months and a e85 tune later and a fp red build in the process and the smile just keeps getting bigger :D

does it really felt slow when u firts drove it????

Honestly like previously posted I think it's based on what your use to driving. I've owned over 30cars in my lifetime...alot of which where hondas and most of them where atleast 13sec cars and a couple 11sec cars and one very gutted and fun 10sec car lol... And 2-evo 9's. Which is why I think when I test drove the X it seemed slow right away but me wanting something a bit more mature and capable of 11's w/ full interior yet affordable i stuck to my decision of going with the X

It's fast out of the box especially if you use it for the way it's designed. It's not a drag car but a true drivers car meant for twisty roads. Mods are always there if you want to go faster.

Coming from a stock 350Z it did feel fast test driving a stock evo.. I was also very pleased at how easy it is to gain power through mods vs the 350. You could pretty well do all bolt ons (-forced induction) and only break 330whp on a Z. According to their forums anyway.

I am completely satisfied with my stock X and don't want to mod. There now you know one. :shades:

As to feeling like something special, I don't think the sensation of speed alone is enough to qualify the X as "special". Yes it is a very fast car out of the box, but it has a relatively refined and smooth power delivery. You could get a twin turbo V6 car from the 90s which on paper would be much slower, but due to the turbo lag on those cars would "feel" much faster.

The X is more of a complete driver's car package. Handling, steering feel, road feel, combined with the speed and the confidence it gives you around corners. There is no other car quite like it.

That said I wouldn't buy one without a test drive - it definitely is not a car for everyone.
