Okay so i have a question. i installed an MBC and a gauge about a month ago. i set the mbc to 22psi. a day later my car went into "Limp Mode" while i was on the freeway, CEL came on and car was only limited to 20mph tops. so i took out the controller and my boost gauge shows that my car is only running 13psi of boost. i thought that it just messed up the electric boost controller but i just got the new factory reflash today and boost is still at 13psi. did i install my boost gauge wrong or something? i hooked it up to my BOV hose.

What gear were you on when it hit limp mode.....Over boost could be the problem there

You're supposed to cut off the extra hose. More hose = less responsive and more chances for a problem.

hmm well i guess i'll go through it again tomorrow, could it be the extra tubing? cuz the mbc came with extra tubing so that you could make it longer.
Are you using the MBC and only getting 13 PSI, or no MBC and no restrictor pill using the stock boost controller?

I just reverted to stock and seeing only 13 PSI but that's with the pill in the line gone. Should I reset my ECU, or do I have a hose being routed wrong?

I'm pretty sure it's the fact that neither of us have the pill in the line that's causing the issue.

To my knowledge, there's too much airflow going through causing the wastegate to open at 13 PSI instead of the normal 23 with the pill in the line restricting airflow.

Please, if anyone can, chime in. I want my car fixed, as I'm sure Flooby does too. I'm waiting to put my MBC back on until I get reflash this next week.

If you went from stock to the mbc, you took the pill out (which keeps air from getting to the wastegate, it builds pressure, like the mbc). After you took the mbc out, and did not replace the pill, there is nothing there to restrict the air from going to the wastegate, so all that work the turbo is doing to build boost, there is nothing to keep it from escaping. You'll either need to replace the mbc or the pill.
