I recently added a new UICP to my 08 Evo MR. I noticed a bit of oil in the stock unit. It was not just a film but a bit wet. I could also see it coating the inside of the inter-cooler.

I am assuming this is coming from a bad seal on the intake side of the the turbo. I also noticed the car using oil, as it was almost a 3/4 of a quart low between oil changes 3000k.

What would be a good bolt on substitute that would give some nice gains?

I would take the turbo off and send it in to FP for an upgrade to an FP Green, Red, or Black.

I like the pricing of the FP upgrade option, does anyone know the turn around time on these. I guess i will give them a call in the morning.

Do you have catch cans?

If not, you might be having excessive blow by of oil from the crank case and the oil is coming from there going into the intake and settling at the lowest point (i.e. turbo). I doubt it is a bad turbo.
