I'm reinstalling the baffles onto the Valve Cover and I am getting mixed advice from the internet. Is RTV sealant necessary for reinstallation of the baffles onto the Valve Cover? Or can I get away without adding any? Thanks in advance.

I just had my valve cover powder coated and I'm planning on adding RTV to the baffles when I install them. Some say it's not required but it was there from factory. Anyone else with any thoughts?

Just got mine powder coated. I'm going to apply some threebond to the baffles when I put them in. I dont think it's super critical, some people dont even have the baffles.

It's easy to apply anyway so why not?

How are you planning to install the baffles? Will you be using loctite with lock washers and bolts?

I have also heard 1/4 to 1/2 turn after finger tight was sufficient, so I guess I will go that route. It's still kind of by feel though. Just hoping they never fall out.
