I've searched on the forums for exhaust components for awhile, and i decided on the rexpeed 02 DP, the UR mini-muffler test pipe, and an invidia N1....but what i haven't heard of is another set up similar to this..i want the exhaust to be noticeable, but not ridiculously loud like the other invidias i've heard....would i be okay with this set up, or should i also order a vibrant 18 inch resonator to weld in the pipe after the test pipe as well just in case?...if anyone has this set up (doubt it tho...i've searched) please chime in

You won't be upset with your exhaust. It will sound nice.

The mini muffler should be sufficient. Should eliminate that highway drone. It will indeed sound good. More rumbly than just the straight through invidia

Will you lose power welding in a resonator? Why not just get a high flow cat instead of a test pipe if your going to add a resonator anyway?

No, you won't lose power with a straight through resonator, it'll just be a bit quieter.

You get a few more horsepower without the cat, plus I've heard the mini muffler test pipe is actually quieter than a high flow cat....plus, you shoot flames without a cat...can't forget that part :thumbup:

I shot flames many times with a High Flow Cat.

I have that set up i just have a SC testpipe. Its loud but i get compliments all the time on it. The mini muffler test pipe will make it quieter. And like Scottspeed21 said you will shoot flames.

Also UR says their exhaust systems a 100% SS but their flanges aren't. i had there Metal high flow cat and the flanges were rusted

i cant imagine the invidia with a SC testpipe..you must drone crazy on the highway lol i got the UR testpipe in last friday and looked at the quality, its a very nice piece..the welds look great and its actually really light in weight..i thought the muffler would weigh it down but not so much..cant wait to get everything put on

yea it drones but it doesnt bother me. And its not that bad to me. i dont even notice it to tell you the truth.

thanks man. When the evo x first came out i had a WW on order and then the guy at the dealer said we have a Phantom black pearl. And i was like nah until i seen it in person. I had to get it.

ive wanted PB from the get go, but i was tired of waiting for a clean one to pop up...and there was no new ones within 500 miles of me for about 3 months..so i jumped on this ob 08 with 29k miles when it popped up at a lexus dealership not too far from me...did you put on the rexpeed yourself or have a shop install it?

I had a shop install it because i heard of how much a PITA to install. The reasons why i went with it was because it has a lifetime warranty and i got it on sale from MAP.

same here got it from map...shit i just bought it cuz its cheaper than ams! lol fxckin ridiculous to pay $1k+ for a 02 back exhaust system...its all just pipe anyway..so long as the welds are nice and it's 3" i could care less about a name..i just wanna go fast lol
