Does anyone know if K&N is making a replacement filter for the X? The official site shows a "2008 RS 2.0 turbo" listed under Lancer. I am not wanting to spend $125 for the Works filter nor, do I want to switch to a cone. Thanks for your help.

I am not really comfortable with the open cone or snorkel intakes as they increase the possibility of unwanted moisture or debris getting into the engine. Hydrolock or heatsoak are also possibilities. I think that there are lots of fantastic mods to be made on our cars,however, I will rely mostly on the millions of R/D that mitsu has spent on the design of the X.
I say just remove the Air box put your wife stockings
over the 3 inch tubing, Hold it with a rubber band and call it a day:jk:
The K&N was about the same price with the my 8 when it first came out.
