hey guys ive almost got all of my parts in so i decided to go ahead and create a build journal thread while i wait for the last few things before installing and tuning next month :godance:

list of mods to install-
-Cobb AccessPort
-Cobb turbo inlet
-Cobb Walbro 255lph fuel pump kit
-Grimmspeed electronic boost control solenoid
-Cosworth Drop in filter
-AMS Widemouth Downpipe ceramic coated by MAPerformance
-AMS high flow cat
-AMS twin tip exhaust
-AMS Front mount intercooler
-AMS lower intercooler piping
-AMS Shifter bushings
-Vibrant Performance O2 spacers
-Nisei upper intercooler piping
-MAPerformance air oil separator

I plan to make this as stock appearing as possible, so i got all of the piping in black and the fmic without the ams stencil. what do you guys think? all comments are welcome.

ill update with pics and dyno sheets asap!

Looks like a solid list!
nice. get FIC1100's and run e85.
drop in?? Get the ams intake
drop in?? Get the ETS intake
fixed. lol
To OP, your name is like kris aquino.lol.
my name is kyle aquino lol no relation to my knowledge

nice. get FIC1100's and run e85.
i would go e85, but theres not very many places to get it where i am and im currently waiting to go to AF basic so i dont know where im gonna end up or if they will have it

drop in?? Get the ams intake
yes drop in. i mentioned that i was going for a stealthy, stock appearing as possible approach.
fixed. lol
haha im an ams fan as you can tell. i know ets is a good shop too, but i was looking at ams parts even before i bought the car last april. i was very lucky to be able to get my hands on the ams twin tip! shout out to vegetax lol

currently im 23 working minimum wage part-time, so it takes me awhile to be able to buy stuff. my goals arent to make big numbers really, but to just improve the car and make it fun. as far as numbers goes though, my goal is to make more power and run quicker than my dad's '06 stage 2 sti. we're supposed to have a father/son drag race when im all ready to go
Drop in is capable up to 400whp.
i hope to make the 400 club once im settled in the af making steady pay. after mods listed above im gonna eventually try to do
-BB FP Green with supporting cobb turbo inlet
-MAPerformance ported stock manifolds and throttle body
-probably ams tmp cams or kelford 214b
-1000cc injectors

kinda mimicking the cobb 400s setup
I like everything but the last mod :innocent:
haha come on man. respect for Forged, but im rollin with doug on this one

ill probably go by forged eventually to see how my car does on their dyno as well
do you have a 2011 evo x?
so cobb have an accessport for the 2011's?
they have the stage one beta

why not do this....that turbo will not stop all the way.......still on stock cams.If I'm gonna stock frame, I will do this.

Kracka's MAP EF2X turbo dyno results - 400WHP on pump gas!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all, I want to thank multiple people and shops who helped make this happen! MAPerformance for their fantastic customer service and products, Cobb Tuning - Plano for taking the time and care I expect when working on my car and their attention to detail during tuning, and all my good friends for discussing setups, bouncing ideas off of, and shuttling me all around while my car was at Cobb!

I have been using Cobb Tuning - Plano for about a year now for tuning, labor-intensive installs, etc. so this should be a fairly accurate comparison since all dyno charts and tunes are from the same dyno with the same tuner, and oddly enough the weather cooperated and kept the conditions fairly consistent!

I would but the nisei looks more stealthy. The ams has a big logo on it
