After a recent spate of engine fires, Ferrari has officially issued a recall of the 458 Italia.

According to the automaker, an adhesive used to attach a heat shield under the rear fender can ignite under high temperatures, leading to a larger fire in the engine bay. We've seen at least four cases on the internet of flaming 458s like this one, and while we can't say for certain, it would seem this adhesive is the likely cause.

Ferrari has designed a new heat shield that attaches with rivets, negating the need for the adhesive. Naturally, 458 owners are urged to call a dealer to schedule an appointment for the free fix.

I think as far as one sounding better ive always liked Lamborghini exhaust notes better, but to each their own.

Exhaust note: NO hotstix, ferrari scuderia supercharged by novitec with kreisseg exhaust set on the f1 pitch. About same price too but 700hp.
The LFA exhaust is pure sex, best overall for an factory car in my opinion. But with those two options you'll be surprised how sexy it sounds.
I actually love hearing the highrevving evo's though, beautiful noises come at those high rpms.

Just not the same...GTR is very competitive with the LFA and it's STUPID expensive (I know, I know, we're talking Ferrari and Lamborghini). A 300k Lexus just doesn't do it for me.

I'll take an F430 Scuderia, though.....
