ok sorry for the noob questions but i dont know much about turbos this is my first turbo car. looking at making more power and dont know which turbo i should go with for my dd. And not wanting to upgrade the internals just yet but also dont want to worry about not being able to get on it. looking at getting a kit like the ams 750r or ets t3 but thinking they will need upgraded internals. Or should i go with a fp? Thanks in advance for help and i did do some research just wanting to know what you opinion.

FP Red or green are both great turbos good power and nice spool, your motor will be fine as long as you just keep the Tq below 390 to be safe, as a DD ull be fine, i have a ETS Precision 62/62 turbo kit on a stock motor and all is fine, even if u wanted to DD like that ud be fine, it depends what u wanna do later on, if u think u will eventually build the motor and want some nice power you can get a big turbo, if not stay with a red or green

Yes, any turbo you get will be more laggy than the stock unit. Its the risk / reward when upgrading a turbo. I can't decide what I want to do with my car, I'm bordering betweeing an fp green daily driver and pick up an evo 8 for a track car, or fuck the evo 8 and build my car in a couple of years. I can't make up my mind.

There are a bunch of people selling BBX Lite in the FS section. Get one of them for cheap and be a happy camper. Its guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Still in the process of installing the Map EF2, just got my AMS widemouth yesterday. The EF2x looks to be the DD street king of all turbos, hopefully it will prove out with this install. Wanted a turbo that maintained boost in high rpms and did not loose much down low.

Not really needing to more power just wanting it. Would like to do some auto x next year.
If you are looking to do autocross, do it in stock form, then STU and if you still like it go BSP/ASP. Your turbo is going to mean shit out there until you learn how to drive, actually the stock turbo is going to benefit you more by getting you out of the bogs faster. I wish I would have stopped before getting into the class I am in, not willing to run slicks or race tires. I had to learn the hard way everyone else started at the bottom...class.

A Mother-F***en MEN! BSP can suck it!

On that note, I wouldn't do anything other than an Ef2/FP Green if you want to Auto X

ef2 or green. I went with a green only because I got such a great deal on it. I would have been happy with either one.

If your serious about autox stick with the stock turbo and run e85 for more power. If your just doing it for fun and never plan on going after a SCCA championship or anything, the green for ef2 are great for DD and will be fun for autox and track duty.

I would stick with stock turbo and go full bolt-on's once you out grow that go with FP upgrade , by time you out grow the bolt-on's you will know what direction you want to go with the turbo upgrades. for DD you might just find that bolt-on's fit your needs.
