I know that putting stock parts back to your car is suppose to slow it down a little but now I feel that it is REALLY slow.

I had them put back the stock intake and exhaust yesterday. The tech asked me if I had the gaskets for my oem exhaust but I didn't so I told him to put it on any way and I'll order one from Mitsubishi in the future. When I drove it home, wow this thing was slow to rev and it sounded like it had an open element intake. I'm thinking to myself boost leak? I check the engine bay for the UICP and it looks fine, all the intake hoses look fine from what I can tell. So I think to myself, maybe an exhaust leak since I didn't have a gasket. The next day, I took it to the muffler shop and they did not have the gasket but did a test on the exhaust for leaks and did not find anything. Anyone else have any ideas what could be missing??! The shop that put the intake back is a body shop that put the items back for me as a courtesy so I don't think they can really take responsibility since all the hoses look fine.

What intake did you have? Did you have it tuned with that intake on the car? Does that intake have a different MAF housing size?

Is your turbo spooling at all? If not, then check and make sure your wastegate is connected and that it didn't pop off the little pin.

The small wastegate rod is back near the firewall where your heat shield is. You should be able to see a metal rod back there. It sits parallel to the engine. I'll try and take a picture of it as I leave work today and post it here for you. Google up the aftermarket Wastegate actuators on the market and the metal rod you see is what I am talking about. If you check back by the turbo behind your engine, you will be able to see it. This is ONLY worth looking into if your turbo isn't spooling (trust me you will know!.lol)

I had the Injen intake, it was tuned however, the tune is now set back to stock tune and pill is removed.
Perfectly normal. My car is set back to stock too after being tuned and it feels incredibly slow and shitty by comparison.

Wow, stupid me. Lower intercooler pipe was loose. :duh: This was blocked from my view by the big stock intake box. After removing it. I see it now and tightened it back up. Runs like a champ now. Thanks everyone for their suggestions!
