For all you ECU Hex gurus whats the best method for learning how to make new Definition XML's for a new rom?

I am sure someone will have the rom definition I am looking for soon but I have always wanted to learn how to do this and starting to understand how to use ecuedit at this point, just needed some pointers on how to decode it into an XML.

The rom I am working on is 58020005 = USDM 2012 MR
