it might be a 3 rotor version of the new RX-8 motor, at least that would be my guess. and FI definately

Well, the "new" 2010 rx-8 motor is supposed to be a ~1.6L or so. So a 3 rotor version of that would be ~2.4L. That's probably enough to make 450hp without forced induction.
