Well sure, for TRACK use I'm sire there are better options so I'll defer to your experience. As a STREET tire they are unmatched IMO.

No need for the "poser" crack, though...that wasnt necessary.
You can't make an opinion if you haven't mounted them yet. Reviews your read don't count.

When you buy them check back in.

I was stuck on this decision for a while before buying my PSSs. I kept reading to ignore the ratings and categories, saw all the performance cars that come with them stock, and finally ordered a set from TireRack. I'd take these over the stock tires any dam day. Huge improvement in comfort, less road noise, awesome performance in wet weather, and tons of grip. I remember my stock Advans would squeal and break loose a little around corners. The PSSs just grip and grip and grip. It almost takes the fun out of it. The Only thing I'd say I like better about the stock tires is the stiffer sidewalls.
:) nice. I just hit around 15k and plenty of life left.

I run 33-34 psi

Still have these tires with 26k on them with moderately aggressive driving, easily the best all around street tire. They have another 8-10k in them too. I've driven a handful of the top tier tires, included Star Spec Z1, R-S3, RT615. On the street unless you are pushing to the limits, 70-80 on off ramps, then you are not going to notice a difference.

Plus at $1100 for a set (265/35/18), I would have already almost spent $3400 on RS-3's in the same amount of mileage. Will definitely buy them again.
I agree. Just a fantastic touring tire.

I am so close picking these up :) so far best deal I have found for 265/35/18 is $950 mounted and balanced. Will I find any better deal?
Thats a great deal, I think I paid 1150 otd. Love these tires. WE finally got our first rain in socal and I still couldnt break em loose. They are great in the rain. I have loved this tire so far. Rule of thumb for me is if you can beat the Tire Rack price mounted and balanced, its a good deal

Yeah I would have that 265 but I'd have to chase down the fender rolling guy and I can't seem to make the time. I'm still on stock suspension . Ehh
What are you talking about? Stock suspension and 265? yOu are fine. I'm lowed with the PSS 265 on a 18x9.5 +22 wheel and i'm fine with -1.4 in the rear. No roll.

Mounted a set of these in 245/40/18 last friday. Done 450miles since and i love them.
Had Falken 452's on before and the difference is night and day. Less road noise, better ride, sharper turn in, better grip and can hit cats eyes in the road and not have it feel like the wheels about to fall off.
iv not had them out in the wet since but if the dry performance is anything to go by it wont be a problem.

There is a slight rub on full lock so i'll address that at the weekend.

The ware rate is the only thing that might put me off though if they dont last me a year/20000+ miles then the cost will outweigh the gains and will have to try something else.
If you rotate and you are NOT pushing Silly camber, they should last past 20k NO PROBLEM. I run -2.0F and -1.5R and I rotate every 3k, no noticeable camber wear and I'm at 18k with PLENTY of life left.

not sure yet I'm driving on highway 200 miles so far. rear rub a bit going over bridges need to roll a little

Initially I would rub on BIG dips, then after about 3k it went away. Might as well be safe and do a TINY roll or heat the fender liner perhaps.

They are a BEEFY tire though. But not as beefy as the Old StarSpec ran.

stock tire size 245/40/18 -1.5 camber in front and like -1 in rears. Gonna have to do some fender treatment?
Are you running that size on an aftermarket wheel, what offset? You could roll the rear or dial in another .3-.5 - camber.

sorry, yes I'm rocking the stock rims as well (Enkies). I would have to hit up Moore Auto for a better alignment since the local decent shop was unable to achieve more than 1.0 on both rears :(. I think I should just play it safe and have Moore roll fenders, install tires and alignment all in one for no worries.

Thanks for the help
oh yeah. To be honest, I dont think you will rub in the least. If you keep the stock size wheel and tire size you will have no issues. We are all running 9.5+ size wheels with 22 offset or lower. You should not rub at all.

Stereo is getting "fixed" today and the rest of this is going on this weekend. I'm beyond stoked:

(Wheel protection is for wheel protection.)
You are getting naughty... :yay:
