Mivec Delete Installation

Installing Mivec deletes intake and exhaust on my built 4b11 running AMS cams. Anyone know if the cam gears can be installed straight out the box onto the cams or do I have to adjust them before installing them. Also when installed, can the car be driven up and down the street to check for any leaks from the build or would those gears not let the car drive or idle at all until it has a base tune? thanks in advance

If you set the gears to 0 degrees then that is more than sufficient to drive up and down the road.

I would ensure your tuner correctly degrees the cams based on your build needs and any other slight discrepancies that would change cam timing.
