I was wondering if someone could help me, ive never had this problem before. Drove 12 hours from Edmonton to BC, the MMCS head unit was fine, could play movies, sound worked etc.
Ive been in BC a couple days now, all seemed fine but this morning I tried to play some music and noticed that the sound no longer works. I made sure it wasnt muted.
Movies, music, beeping sounds all do not work now. Any ideas?
Ive already checked the connections to the head unit through the dash, those all seem to be good.

I pulled the 30 amp fuse under the hood as well as the 15amp fuse in the dash,both are fine. Swapped them around anyways and still same issue, head unit works but no sound whatsoever.

Do anything under the dash or add anything like Ipod stuff? You removed your sub a while back didn't you?

I removed my sub a long time ago to make room for the meth kit, there wasnever a problem. Other than that I have done no modification to the sound system.

Did you figure out a solution for this? Mine just did the same thing. Havent touched the radio.

Mine just ended up working on its own again. Never had the issue again.

How long before it started working again? Did you do a reset or anything.

Unhook the negative battery cable for five minutes and push the brake in 3 times and hold down for 30 seconds on the last push. Reconnect battery

I think I'm starting to turn into Bradze and hate this car.

Radio came on and played twice over the last three days of driving. It either works fine when I start the car or doesn't play at all.

This sucks.

Sounds like a loose connection behind the radio. Have you moved or installed anything lately?
Maybe there is a shitty relay for the stereo just like the fuel relay.

I pulled the radio to check all the connections and all was good. I haven't been back there in a long time.

Only thing I have done is added the fuel injectors and fuel pump. Both of those aren't near the radio.

Everything on the Navi works, the screen, navigation, I can see the music server counting the seconds on the music. I can switch radio stations.

Just no sound. Dead silience. When I pulled the radio I looked for some fuses but didn't see any. Was hoping there was one on the back that was blown or something.

Isn't the Rockford amp under the driver's seat? I wonder if something is loose there.

Yeah, if all your lacking is sound I would check the amp

I have the basic navi, no Rockford setup. So to my knowledge, I don't have an amp. It's all internal in the headunit.

I will check under the seat, but pretty sure there isn't an amp down there.

You said earlier in the thread that you had the sub. The non-Rockford setup doesn't have one. The MMCS doesn't have an amp in it.

Well it seems if I turn on the car quickly the radio works. If I turn it on and leave it at accessory and let the radio boot then start the car, I get no sound.

Not sure what the deal is, but I got sound which is all that matters.

Bringing this thread back up to see if anyone has a solution, im having the same problem. Everything works, but there's no sound.
