Hello all, like it says I am new to the forums, and new to the EVO. I am going to be buying a new EVO X on Sunday or Monday from Huntington Beach Mitsu.
I am debating between a new 2011 GSR with SSS, and a 2012 of the same package. there is about a 2k price difference from the 2011 to the 12. What is your opinion on that, what year should I buy? I live in Vegas so I need to seal the deal in one trip. Well anyways thank you all for the help. Look forward to hearing from you all.

Going from a 02 WRX to the car I have wanted for the past 9 years.

2012 interior revisions include gloss-black trim for the instrument panel and redesigned soft-touch door panel material. I had a $500 difference and still took the 2011 (it was also OB instead of WW). Made up for it by buying a cobb ap and downloading 2011 maps from the "other" site.

Please PM me by what you mean 2011 maps from other site as I have a 2011 and the beta Cobb maps aren't working too great ...

You might want to try giving south coast mitsubishi a call to see what deals they have. They are very close to huntington beach mitsubishi and usually have discounted evos.

I would go with the newest year, 2012 has updates, some of them aren't even advertised by mitsubishi (timing chain design updates). A 2011 already has one year of depreciation baked into the price, so it might not be such a good deal. Can't go wrong either way.

mike, yes, i definately was being sarcastic, because of my name. if you are interested in saving a couple of bucks, buy the 2011. either way, youre going to have a blast with the car. and some of the clowns on the forum (me).
And me! BTW my name is also Mike in real life :D
